At Foundation Baptist Church, we want every visitor to clearly understand how to be born-again and saved from sin. Sin separates us from a holy God, and judgment is real—but God has provided one bridge to Heaven: Jesus Christ. He died for our sins and rose again, and salvation is offered by grace through faith in Him alone.
If you have questions about being saved, please contact us—we’d be glad to help from the Bible.
Every person will face death—and after that, the judgment. That’s not meant to produce hopeless fear, but honest urgency. God wants you to know the truth and to be saved, and the Bible explains plainly how that happens: through repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
God is holy, and sin is not “small” in His sight. The Bible warns of real and eternal judgment for real guilt. “But the fearful, and unbelieving… and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8, KJV). This is why salvation matters—because sin has a penalty, and judgment is certain.
The Bible says plainly, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, KJV). A simple way to examine your life is to compare it with God’s law. Have you ever lied, stolen anything (no matter how small), dishonored your parents, lusted in your heart, or used God’s name in vain? These aren’t just mistakes—they are sin against God.
Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3, KJV). God calls sinners to turn to Him with a changed mind and heart—agreeing with God about sin and turning from it.
The Bible does not present many bridges—only one.
Baptism doesn’t save. Baptism is not the gospel and cannot remove sin.
A church cannot provide salvation. No church died for your sins.
Good deeds cannot save. God’s standard is perfect holiness, and no one meets that standard by works.
Repeating words alone cannot save. Salvation is not a ritual; it is God’s work in the heart.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9, KJV). And Scripture warns, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Proverbs 14:12, KJV).
God’s message is not “try harder.” The gospel is what God has done for sinners through His Son. The Bible declares, “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4, KJV).
Jesus Christ is the only mediator who can bring sinful man to a holy God. Salvation is found in Him alone—through His finished work, His blood shed for sin, and His resurrection victory over death.
God does not tell you to delay. Scripture warns, “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation…?” (Hebrews 2:3, KJV). If you are depending on your goodness, your efforts, religion, or a past ritual—turn from that. Come to God with repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is God’s gift, received by faith—not earned by works.
God is holy.
I am a sinner and cannot save myself (Romans 3:23).
Sin brings judgment, and judgment is real (Revelation 21:8).
Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
Salvation is a gift of grace, received by faith—not by works (Ephesians 2:8–9).
I must repent toward God and place my faith in Christ to save me (Luke 13:3).
The Bible does not teach that salvation is received by merely repeating certain words. Salvation is not a formula—it is repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. A prayer cannot save anyone if the heart is not truly turning to God and trusting Christ. But if you will come to the Lord sincerely—repenting and believing the gospel—He saves.

Jesus said no man comes to the Father but by Him, and the Bible says there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved.
God’s standard is holiness—not comparison with other people. The Bible says salvation is “not of works,” and no one is perfectly good except the Lord Jesus Christ.
Baptism is not the gospel and does not remove sin. Salvation is by grace through faith.
Because death is appointed to men, and after this the judgment. God warns us not to neglect so great salvation.
A helpful starting point is this: are you trusting Christ alone—His death, burial, and resurrection—and have you turned from relying on your works, religion, or self? If you want to talk it through, we would love to help you from the Bible.
If you have questions about being born-again and saved from your sins, we invite you to contact Foundation Baptist Church.
